Working Principle
The sterilized product is transferred from the sterilizer to the filling machine under a closed aseptic condition. The filling chamber is continuously sterilized with steam, and the product is filled into pre-sterilized aseptic bags. This process ensures that the product remains free from contamination throughout filling, allowing long shelf life without refrigeration.
Equipment features and configuration
✔ One manufacturer for sterilization and filling: Shanghai Chase manufactures both sterilizers and aseptic bag fillers. When supplied together, the two machines have one equipment supplier for system coordination, maintenance and troubleshooting.
✔ Steam protection in the filling chamber: Steam protects the filling chamber, with the bag spout positioned inside the chamber during filling.
✔ Alternating filling heads: On double-head models, the two heads operate alternately to reduce product recirculation during bag changes.
✔ Bag spout positioning and interlocks: The spout is positioned and clamped before filling. An interlock prevents filling when the spout is not correctly in place.
✔ Condensate drainage: A dedicated drainage structure removes condensate from the filling chamber.
✔ Coordinated CIP/SIP: The sterilizer and filler run coordinated cleaning and sterilization sequences. Product feed and filling are enabled only after these sequences are complete and the required startup conditions are met.
✔ Choice of metering system: Aseptic BIB models offer weighing or flowmeter control to suit the filling configuration.
✔ Operating status on screen: The operator panel displays machine status, faults, alarms and instrument readings. Remote PLC control is optional on aseptic BIB models.
